Inside this cave there is a spectacular natural lake that is in contact with the sea. In it lives an endemic species called “jameitos”. They are tiny blind albino crabs. The Volcano House, full of explanations about volcanic activity, can be visited and you can also enjoy an evening with traditional music on the lake.

This is a cave in Canary Island. The Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of northwestern Africa, are rugged volcanic isles known for their black- and white-sand beaches. Tenerife, the largest island, is dominated by the sometimes-snowy active volcano Mt. Teide, which has its own astronomical observatory and is part of Teide National Park. Tenerife hosts a huge pre-Lent Carnival in the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
In response to Blogging University’s Weekly Photo Challenge: H20
H2O is the chemical formula for water. It describes water broken down into its elements.
For this week’s challenge, share a photo that features H2O; the element of water. Water comes in many different states and guises. From a foggy morning to your favorite watercolor painting, how will you show H2O in a photograph? I look forward to seeing your interpretations.
