In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Yin to My Yang.” How do you define the term “soulmate,” and do you believe in the existence of such a person — for you? Thanks for suggesting this prompt, milO1989!
SoulMate? What does that mean for me? Well, I truly didn’t know until recently. I guess it is a feeling of absolute belonging. Even though we have people we are bound to by blood. There are those whom God has chosen for us. Now, if we are not paying attention, we will end up with “time wasters”. Nobody has time for that.
- All I can say is that once you meet someone whom you can be yourself without fear of judgement. That’s a soulmate.
- When you can sit with them for hours at a time in silence and still remain secure in your relationship. That’s a soulmate.
- When you are in tune with one another. Know each other’s mood and feelings without being in each other’s presence. That’s a soulmate.
Be encouraged and if your Soulmate has not appeared yet, don’t fret, he/she will show themselves to you shortly. They are probably in front of you now, you just haven’t taken the blinders off yet.
I’ve found mine. I’m positive you’ll find yours too. Be encouraged.
