It took me some time to answer this prompt. It really really really….really confused y poor little brain. But as I read some of the lyrics of the song, I kind of understand it a bit more.
Life always gives us what we need, when we need it. When we force things to fit (square into a circle) it almost always will turn out sour. Therefore, we must just relax and walk through life with ease. No rushing needed, it’ll be there when we get there.
Just Live Free & Love on Purpose
It is a song about “the difference between what life knows we need, and what life thinks we need. What’s ironic is not 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife, it’s the fact that, as Alanis believes, you have all of those spoons because, unbeknownst to you, but known by life, what you really need right now is only spoons… or the last thing you need right now is a knife.”
In response to Daily Prompt:
…When all you need is a knife might not be ironic, but it is unfortunate. Add your own verse, stanza, or story of badly-timed annoyance to Alanis Morissette’s classic.
